The Cherokee Strip Conference Center was designed to incorporate two existing and historically significant buildings and an new building into a new, multi-purpose conference center.  While Vice President of Commercial Design with Downing Leach Architects, Mr. Gerou inherited a project significantly over budget.  Working closely with the City of Enid, Gerou restructured the design, totally reworked the construction documents and restructured the bidding process to produce a viable project that was built on time and with the original budget. 

The project included a multi-purpose main exhibit hall which was designed for uses as varied as comfortable seating for 1400 or the display of the annual tractor show.  The final design met the client's stringent financial requirements and budget and in fact allowed for additional finishes and landscaping to be added back into the scope of the project.
